Agency Account Manager

Location: Remote

About the Role

P’Pool Media is seeking a highly organized, strategic, and client-focused Account Manager to fully own and lead 2–3 agency client accounts from planning through execution.

This role is designed for a marketing professional who thrives in client leadership, execution, and accountability. As the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, you will manage relationships, lead strategy, oversee execution, and ensure every initiative—social media, email marketing, thought leadership, events, PR, awards, and speaking opportunities—is thoughtfully planned, executed, and optimized for success.

You will act as the quarterback for your accounts: anticipating client needs, managing timelines and deliverables, coordinating internal and external resources, and proactively identifying opportunities to grow impact and results.

A strong interest in media, audio, podcasting, and the creator economy is a major plus.

Key Responsibilities

Account Leadership & Client Management (Primary Focus)

  • Serve as the primary owner and point of contact for 2–3 client accounts.

  • Build strong, trusted relationships with clients through proactive communication and exceptional service.

  • Lead account strategy, planning, and execution across all initiatives.

  • Ensure clients feel consistently “super-served” with clear communication, thoughtful planning, and on-time delivery.

  • Conduct regular check-ins, planning calls, and status updates with clients.

  • Identify opportunities to expand scope, improve performance, and drive long-term account success.

Strategy, Planning & Execution

  • Develop and manage integrated plans across:

    • Social media management and community engagement

    • Email marketing and newsletters

    • Executive and brand thought leadership

    • Event planning and on-site/off-site execution

    • Award submissions and speaking opportunities

    • PR initiatives, launches, and ongoing campaigns

  • Translate strategy into clear timelines, task lists, and deliverables.

  • Ensure all projects are properly scoped, organized, executed, and optimized.

  • Monitor performance and provide insights and recommendations for improvement.

Project Management & Internal Coordination

  • Own timelines, calendars, workflows, and deliverables for assigned accounts.

  • Coordinate with internal team members, freelancers, and vendors to ensure seamless execution.

  • Track deadlines, approvals, and dependencies to ensure nothing falls through the cracks.

  • Prepare agendas, run meetings when appropriate, document action items, and follow through.

  • Work closely with the company partners on account priorities, planning, and growth opportunities.

Creative, Content & Channel Oversight

  • Oversee content creation and execution across social, email, and marketing channels.

  • Review drafts, graphics, and assets to ensure quality, alignment, and brand voice.

  • Support or contribute to writing, editing, research, or content development when needed.

  • Ensure community engagement and brand voice remain consistent and authentic.

Agency Operations & Reporting

  • Maintain organized documentation, project files, and reporting for each account.

  • Track hours, budgets, and resource allocation where applicable.

  • Prepare client recaps, reports, presentations, and post-campaign summaries.

Qualifications

  • 3–4 years of experience in account management, marketing, PR, or media agency environments.

  • Proven experience managing client relationships and leading multiple accounts simultaneously.

  • Strong understanding of integrated marketing, including social media, email, PR, events, and thought leadership.

  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills—professional, confident, and client-ready.

  • Ability to work independently, lead projects, and make strategic recommendations.

  • Comfortable working directly with clients, leadership, and cross-functional teams.

  • Bonus: Experience in audio, podcasting, creators, or media brands.

Skills & Tools (Preferred, Not Required)

  • Google Workspace

  • Monday.com or similar project management platforms

  • Canva or basic design tools

  • Metricool or other social media scheduling/analytics tools

  • WordPress, Squarespace, or CMS familiarity

  • OpusClip, Descript, or Riverside familiarity
